soldier.

Whereas Tsaac P. Louthen, a disabled Confederate soldier of the
county of Tazewell, was a member of companv E, fifth regiment of
Virginia infantry, commanded bv Colonel Vanderesten, that while in
said service in the battle of the Wilderness, the fifth day of Mav, eigh-
teen hundred and sixty-four, he received a wound in the left foot from
a minie ball, that from said wound he is now disabled from performing
manual labor, that he is poor and in needy circun
