Chap. 1028.—An ACT for the relief of William R. Watson, J. D. Hankins, and
C. H. Childress, disabled Confederate soldiers.

Whereas William R. Watson, J. D. Hankins, and C. HM. Childress. of
Charlotte county, Virginia, were gallant Confederate soldiers, and while
serving the state of Virginia as such incurred disabilities from disease
or wounds which totally incapacitated them for manual labor, and
are now old and without other means of support; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof of the foregoing facts before the county court of Charlotte county
and the certificate of the same to the auditor of public accounts, the
said auditor shall place the names of said William R. Watson, J. D.
Hankins, and C. H. Childress upon the pension roll of the state and
pay each of them annually the sum of fifteen dollars on and after April
irst, nineteen hundred.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
