Chap. 1025.— An ACT for the relief of Johnson & Early, assignees of George
Dalton.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas one George Dalton, of the county of Carroll, did care for
and maintain one Susan Crowder, a lunatic, under an order of the
county court of Carroll county entered at the January term, eighteen
hundred and ninetv-six, at the price of thirty-five cents per dav, as
allowed by law: and
Whereas at a county court held for said county at the April term,
eighteen hundred and ninetv-six, the said George Dalton was allowed
the sum of thirtv-one dollars and eighty-five cents for such care and
Inaintenanee: and
Whereas said allowance was dulv certified by the said court to the
auditor of pubhe accounts for payment, but payment was refused bv
said auditor of public accounts; and
Whereas the said George Dalton assigned and transferred said claim
to Johnson and Early before the same was presented to the auditor of
public accounts for payment; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, directed to issue his
warrant upon the treasurer of the state of Virginia in favor of the
said Johnson and Farly for the sum of thirty-one dollars and eighty-
five cents, payable out of anv money in the treasury not otherwise
appropriated, which sum, when received by the said Johnson and arly,
shall be m full of the amount due the said George Dalton on account
of the said allowance made by the said county court of Carroll county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
