Chap. 1021.—An ACT for the relief of R. R. Lynn, a Confederate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1900.
Whereas R. R. Lynn, of Fairfield, Rockbridge county, was a true
and gallant Confederate soldicr of company G, fifty-second regiment
of Virginia volunteers, volunteering at the beginning of the war and
serving until its close;
Whereas the said R. R. Lynn has resided in Virginia since the close
of the civil war, and has been an honest, faithful, and useful citizen;
Whereas the said R. R. Lynn having suffered much from exposure
during the said war, and is now physically unable to make a livelihood
on account of such exposure; and
Whereas the said R. R. Lynn being old, enfeebled, and incapacitated ;
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That upon
proof of the foregoing facts before the county court of Rockbridge
county, evidenced by a certificate from said court to the auditor of
publie accounts, the said auditor of public accounts is authorized and
directed to place the name of the said R. R. Lynn upon the pension
rolls, and pay him the sum of fifteen dollars per annum.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
