Chap. 1016.—An ACT for the relief of Jack Wray, a disabled Confederate
: soldier.

Whereas Jack Wray, a disabled Confederate soldier, of company A,
fifth battalion, Armistead’s bngade, Hughes’ division, was a brave and
faithful soldier during the war between the states, was loyal to Virginia;
and
Whereas he was perfectly healthy before the war, but is now suffering
from lung trouble, and is now in a dangerous condition from consump-
tion, is poor and ih need of help from the state, being entirely unable to
help himself; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That if the
above stated facts shall be established before the county court of Bruns-
wick county and certified to the auditor of public accounts, the said
auditor shall place the name of Jack Wray upon the pension list and
pay him annually after the first day of April, nineteen hundred, the
sum of sixty dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
