Chap. 994.—An ACT to protect mountain trout in the waters of Rockingham
County.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
unlawful to kill, capture, or destroy in any way mountain trout in any
of the waters of the county of Rockingham between the first day of
August and the first dav of May of each year; and from the first day o!
Mav till the first dav of August it shall be unlawful to catch mountair
trout in any of said waters except by angling with hook and line.

2. Any one violating the provisions of this act shall be fined not less
than ten dollars nor more than fifty dollars for each offence, and may

at the diseretion of the eourt or justice trving the same, be confined 1
jul not exceeding thirty days.
3. All acta or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby re-
pealed.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
