Chap. 953.—An ACT for the relicf of J. W. May, a disabled Confederate soldier.
Approved March 4, 1898.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the auditor
of public accounts shall place on the list of pensioners J. W. May, who
is incapacitated for manual Jabor by reason of partial disability incurred
and contracted in the military service of the Confederate States during
the civil war, and by reason of such incapacity is no longer able to earn
a livelihood, and is in necessitous circumstances. But before said May
shall be so listed he shall establish the facts above stated by adequate
proof before the county court of Buckingham, and shall file said proof
before the auditor of public accounts, and said auditor shall place him
on the list for fifteen dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
