Approved March 3, 1898.
Whereas R. T. Scott, a disabled Confederate soldier, was a true
lant soldier during the war; was loyal to Virginia; and
Whereas he is now suffering from the following disability—to-wil
Suffering from a disease contracted while serving as a Confed
|dier in Captain William Lowry’s company, General Henry A. W
ion, on account of which disease he is unable to perform ma
yor: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the co
urt of Montgomery shall examine into the condition of the ak
med R. T. Scott, a Confederate soldier, and should it be that he

rvice; that he is needy and poor, and should receive aid from Virg

cts to the auditor of public accounts of Virginia, then the audit
