Whereas R. T. Collins, a disabled Confederate soldier, was a true an
zallant soldier during the late war; was loval to Virginia; and
Whereas he is now suffering from the following disabilities—to-wit:
suffering from wounds received in battle during the late war: ther
fore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the count
court of Louisa shall examine into the condition of the above-named |
T. Collins, a Confederate soldier; and should it be that he was true an
loyal to Virginia through the war, and that he is now afflicted and i
capacitated for manual labor as the result of wounds received in batth
that he is needy and poor, and should receive aid from Virginia, and
the county court of Louisa should send a certificate of the facts to t]
auditor of public accounts of Virginia, then the auditor of pubhie a
counts is directed to place the name of R. T. Collins on the pension lis
and pay him annually the sum of fifteen dollars, on and after the fir
day of April, eighteen hundred and ninety-eight.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage,
