to erect a wharf on their land from the Old Stone house road, on the.
river, in Isle of Wight county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That F
Converse, junior, and Walter H. MacKimmie be, and are he
authorized and permitted to erect a wharf upon their land on the s
side of James river, in Isle of Wight county, at a point known as '
stone house landing,’”’ with a water front fifty feet wide and
tending out to the channel of the said James river: provided, that
wharf shall not obstruct or impair free navigation in said channel ;
provided, also, that this act shall be subject to amendment, mod
tion, or repeal at the pleasure of the general assembly.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
