Chap. 312.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the third section of an act entitled an
act to incorporate the Norfolk, Willoughby Spit and Old Point railroad com-
pany, approved January Isth, 1806.
Approved February 12, 1898.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
three of an act to incorporate the Norfolk, W illoughby Spit and Old

Point railroad company, approved January the eighteenth, eig
hundred and ninety-six, be amended and re- -enacted so as to re
follows :
§ 3. The capital stock of said company shall not be less that
thousand dollars, nor more than one hundred thousand dollars,
divided into shares of the par value of one hundred dollars each ;
share to be entitled to one vote at all stockholders’ meetings, and \
ever fifty shares have been subscribed, the subscribers may organi:
company by electing a board of directors and president, and electin:
appointing such other officers as may be necessary for the manage
of the affairs of the company; and thereupon they shall have,
exercise, all the general powers and functions of a corporation, ar
subject to all the restrictions imposed by the general laws of the
applicable to internal improvement companics, except the sar
inconsistent with this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
