1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
thirty-seven hundred and eleven of the code of Virginia, as amended by
an act approved February twenty-third, eighteen hundred and ninety-
four, entitled an act toamend and re-en: et section thirty-seven hundred
and eleven of the code of Virginia, making dogs listed for taxation the
subject of petit larceny and trespass, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
Sov 11. What dogs subjects of petit larceny and trespass. —All dogs in
the cities of Ric hmond, Manchester, Petersburg, and Alexandria, and in
the county of Henrico and the county of Dinwiddie, and all dogs listed
for taxation In any county orcity of the state, shall be deemed personal
property, and may be the subject of petit larceny and malicious or un-
lawful trespass.
This act shall be in force from its passaze.
