Chap. 463.—An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Page county to
apply any surplus that may arise from what is known as the railroad tax to
the payment of the amount expended by said board in the erection of a jail-
er’s residence and jail in said county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
oard of supervisors of Page county be, and they are hereby, author-
ed to apply any surplus that may arise from what is known as the
pilroad tax from the levy for the year eighteen hundred and ninety-
ve and ninety-six to the payment of the amount expended by said
oard in the erection of a jailer’s residence and jail in said county.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
