Chap. 827.—An ACT for the relief of Charles P. Finney, James T. Weaver,
Walter F. Broadwater, James FE. Anderton, William J. Barnes, John C. Jus-
tice, Samuel J. Davis, Solomon Warner and Southy Lee Milliner, oyster in-
spectors of Accomac county.
Approved March 8, 1894.
Whereas the judge of the county court of Accomac county, in in-
terpreting sections twenty-one hundred and thirty-three and twenty-
one hundred and thirty-four, and other sections of the code of Vir-
ginia, touching fees of oyster inspectors, denied to the inspectors of
the county of Accomac the fees allowed them by law, except ten per
centum of the said fees; and whereas nine-tenths of said fees were,
under said instructions of said judge, improperly paid into the trea-
sury of the state; and whereas the amount so paid by Charles P.
Finney, inspector for thé eighth and ninth districts of Accomac
county, is one hundred and eleven dollars, less ten percentum; and
the amount so paid by James T. Weaver, inspector for sixth distric
was fifteen dollars, less ten per centum; and the amount so paid b
Walter F. Broadwater was one hundred and sixty-one dollars, les
ten per centum; and the amount so paid by James E. Anderton, in
spector for sixth district, was two hundred and nine dollars,'less te
per centum ; and the amount so paid by William J. Barnes, inapec
tor for sixth district, was one hundred and sixty-four dollars and fift
centa, less ten per centum; and the amount so paid by John C. Jus
tice, inspector for the seventh district, was four hundred and ten do!
lars and fifty cents, less ten per centum; and the amount so paid b
Samuel J. Davis, inspector for the first district, was three dollars, les
ten per centum; and the amount so paid by Solomon Warner, in
spector for second district, was thirty-four dollars, less ten per cen
tum; and the amount so paid by Southey Lee Milliner, inspector fo
third district, was four dollars, less ten per centum:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That th
auditor of public accounts be instructed to draw his warrant i:
favor of the following parties for the amounts attached thereto, a
follows:
Charles P. Finney, ninety-nine dollars and ninety cents.
James T. Weaver, thirteen dollars and fifty cents.
John H. Fletcher, junior, administrator of W. F. Broadwater, de
ceased, one hundred and forty-four dollars and ninety cents.
James KE. Anderton, one hundred and seventy-eight dollars an
ten cents.
William J. Barnes, one hundred and forty-eight dollars and fiv
cents.
John C. Justice, three hundred and sixty-nine dollars and forty
five cents.
Samuel J. Davis, two dollars and seventy cents.
Solomon Warner, thirty dollars and sixty cents.
Southey Lee Milliner, three dollars and sixty cents.
Said amounts to be paid outof any money in the treasury no
otherwise appropriated.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
