Chap. 796.—A JOINT RESOLUTION in relation to committee-rooms in capi-
tol building.
Approved March 8, 1894.
Whereas the new library building will be completed before the
meeting of the next general assembly, and it is very desirable that
when the capitol building shall be vacated by the removal of the
library and state officials, that said building, with the exception of
offices retained by the governor and secretary of commonwealth, shall
be fitted up for the use of committees of the general assembly:
Resolved by the senate (the house of delegates concurring), That
a committee, consisting of the lieutenant-governor, speaker of the
house of delegates and one member of the senate and two members
of the house of delegates, be appointed to have said building properly
fitted up under the supervision of the superintendent of public build-
ings.
2. The auditor of public accounts is hereby directed to issue his
warrants on the treasurer, payable out of any money not otherwise
appropriated, when the bills shall be properly certified by the chair-
man of said committee: provided the cost of the same shall not ex-
ceed the sum of one thousand dollars.
