Chap. 777.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2 of an act entitled an act
to incorporate the Richmond and Rappahannock Valley railroad company,
approved February 16, 1892.
Approved March 7, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
two of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Richmond and Rap-
pahannock Valley railroad company, approved February sixteenth,
eighteen hundred and ninety-two, be amended and re-enacted so as
to read as follows:
§ 2. The said company may construct and operate a standard or
narrow gauge railroad, either of single or double track, commenc-
ing at the city of Richmond and running to its terminus at some
point on the Rappahannock river or Chesapeake bay, or Potomac
river, in or south of Westmoreland county, by the most practicable
route, passing through the counties of Henrico, Hanover, King
William, King and Queen, Essex, or such other county or counties of
this state as will enable it to reach its terminus. Its engines, loco-
motives and cars may be propelled either by steam or electricity,
or both.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
