in the assessment of certain real estate therein.

Whereas it appears that a mistake wad made in assessir
tain real estate, the property of James W. Ballentine, situa
Dinwiddie street, in the city of Portsmouth, Virginia, the sai
take consisting in assessing to the said James W. Ballentine
land than really belonged to him, or in other mistake in the ic

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, Tk
said James W. Ballentine may, within three months from th
sage of this act, apply to the court of hustings for the city of
mouth, pursuant to section four hundred and forty-four of th
of Virginia, for the correction of said erroneous assessment, a
