Chap. 759.—An ACT for the relief of Mrs. E. O. Davidson, the widow of a Con-
federate soldier.
Approved March 7, 1894.
Whereas John W. Davidson, a Confederate soldier, was shot through
the breast in the battle of Drewry’s bluff, in eighteen hundred and
sixty-four, in the late war between the states, and received a wound
which rendered him unfit for any work whatever, and from which
wound he died after the war, leaving a widow with six children and
in destitute circumstances: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That upon
the proof of the alleged facts before the county court of Henrico
county and by said court certified as required by the pension statute,
the auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and directed to
place the name of E. O. Davidson on the pension list of Virginia as
entitled to a pension as widow of a soldier killed in the late war he-
tween the states.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
