Chap. 75.—An ACT to protect pheasants and wild turkeys in Spotsylvania
county.
Approved January 24, 1804.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
be unlawful to kill, or capture, or offer for sale,or buy any pheasants
or wild turkeys in the county of Spotsylvania, between the first day
of February and the first day of November of any year, or at any
time to take or destroy the eggs of pheasants or wild turkeys, or to
catch them with traps or otherwise.
2. Avy person violating the preceding section, or any of the pro-
visions thereof, shall incur the same penalties which are prescribed
by the general laws of this commonwealth with reference to unlawful
hunting for the killing, capturing, or buying, or offering for sale un-
lawfully, pheasants or wild turkeys, or destroying or taking their
eyys, or catching them with traps or otherwise. The rule of evidence
shall be the same. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this
act. be, and the same are, hereby repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
