Chap. 623.—An ACT for the relief of A. A. Woodson, a disabled Confederate
soldier of Goochland county, Virginia.
Approved March 5, 1804.
Whereas A. A. Woodson, of Goochland county, Virginia, a deserving
Confederate soldier, was disabled in the late war between the states;
and whereas the said Woodson, by reason of such a disability, is
unable to perform manual labor: therefore,
| 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
pame of the said A. A. Woodson be placed by the auditor on the
list of Confederate soldiers who were disabled while in the discharge
of their duty as soldiers, and that the said A. A. Woodson be en-
titled to receiva such sum as such soldiers each are entitled to under
an act approved March fifth, eighteen hundred and eighty-eight, as
amended by an act approved March first, eighteen hundred and
ninety-two, entitled an act to give aid to soldiers and marines of
Virginia maimed or disabled in the war between the states, and to
widows of Virginia soldiers, sailors and marines who lost their lives
in said war in military service: provided, however, that before
the auditor shall be authorized to place the name of Woodson on
such list, the said Woodson shall prove before the county court of
Goochland county that said disability was incurred by said Woodson
on account of military service of the state, and said Woodson shall
produce to the auditor of public accounts the certificate of said
court, showing the proof and testimony aforesaid, and that said
court is satisfied as to the truth and correctness of the same.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
