Chap. 573.—An ACT to remove certain records in the surveyor’s office in Wash-
ington county to the clerk’s office of the county court of said county.
Approved March 38, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
record-books of the county surveyor required by law by him to be
kept, and now under the custody and control of the surveyor of
Washington county, be by him removed to the clerk’s office of the
county court of said county, and delivered to the clerk of said court,
to be by said clerk kept, preserved, copied and indexed as deed-books
and other records are by law required to be kept, preserved, copied
and indexed: provided, however, said surveyor shall at any time
have such control over said records as may be necessary to perform
any duty required of him by law.
2. All acts and parts of acts inconsistent herewith are repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
