Chap. 55.—An ACT for the relief of the sureties of A. R. Green, late treau
of Halifax county.

Approved January 22, 18H.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all |
sureties on the bonds executed by A. R. Green, as late treasurer
Halifax county, be, and they are hereby, relieved from the paym
of any Interest on license taxes collected by said A. R. Green,
such late treasurer for the year beginning November the first, ej;
teen hundred and ninety, and ending on the first day of July, ei.
teen hundred and ninety-one; it appearing that said sureties h:
paid in full the balance due by said Green on account of the prir
pal sum so collected by him: provided that nothing contained in t
act shal] be so construed as to release the said A. R. Green from
payment of said interest.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
