Chap. 503.—An ACT allowing fish-traps to be placed in Powell’s river, in Lee
county.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Jacob
B. Olinger be allowed to erect a fish-trap in Powell’s river, in Lee
county, from one-fourth to one-half mile below his grist mill, within
his lands, and that John B.Slemp and Harvey Wilson he allowed to
erect a small fish-trap in Powell’s river, in Lee county, below the
mouth of Buck branch, upon their own lands, and Judge Carr Bailey
be allowed to erect a small fish-trap in Powell’s river, in Lee county,
near Cedar bluff, on his lands: provided that no trap or dam shall
impede or render unsafe the full, free and easy navigation of said
river during a good boating tide.
2. This actshall be in force from its passage.
