Chap. 494.—An ACT to empower the board of supervisors of Essex county to
subscribe to the capital stock of the Tidewater agricultural stock associa-
tion.

Approved March 1, 1894.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Essex county are hereby empowered to sub-
scribe to the capital stock of the Tidewater agricultural and stock
association in a sum not to exceed five hundred dollars, and to pay
for the same out of the county levy for the year eighteen hundred
and ninety-four.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
