Chap. 492.—An ACT to authorize the auditor of public accounts to credit E. J.
McCulloch, late treasurer of Botetourt county, with a lost school warrant for
1890, upon production of satisfactory evidence.
Approved March 1, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts, upon production of satisfactory evidence
that the school warrant for the year eighteen hundred and ninety for
Botetourt county has been lost, and that the amount of said warrant
has been paid in full by E. J. McCulloch, late treasurer of said
county, upon orders of the proper school authorities, be, and he
hereby is, authorized upon settlement with said McCulloch to credit
him by same: provided the said anditor shall take from said McCul-
loch a bond of indemnity, with proper security,in the penalty of
ten thousand dollars, conditioned to save the commonwealth from loss
by reason of giving said credit.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
