Chap. 469.—An ACT to require the attorney-general to ascertain whether th:
charter of the Washington and Alexandria turnpike company, in Alexan
dria county, has been forfeited.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
attorney-general be, and he hereby is, required to institute the neces.
Bary proceedings to ascertain whether the charter of the Washingtor
and Alexandria turnpike company, in the county of Alexandria, has
been forfeited by reason of the failure of the company to comply
with the provisions of its charter and the general laws in relation tc
turnpikes, and in that case to secure such further relief as is pro-
vided by law.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
