Chap. 391.—An ACT for the relief of Charles R. Boatwright, a blind Confede-
rate soldier.

Whereas Charles R. Boatwright, a Confederate soldier, residing in
Charlotte county, has been placed on the pension rolls and is draw-
ing an annual pension of thirty dollars because of disability to per-
form manual labor by reason of the lossof his left eye in the late war
between the states, and the impairment of the sight of the right eye
consequent upon the loss of sight of the left eye; and
Whereas the sight of the right eye has now been entirely lost:
therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the au-
ditor of public accounts is directed to enroll the said Charles R.
Boatwright on the pension list as entitled to the pension provided
by the laws of this state to those soldiers who lost two eyes in the
late war between the states.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
