Chap. 372.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3of an act entitled an act
to incorporate the Hospital of St. Vincent of Paul, in the city of Norfolk,
passed March 3, 1856.
Approved February 28, 1804.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
three of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Hospital of Saint
Vincent of Paul, in the city of Norfolk, passed March third, eigh-
teen hundred and fifty-six, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
§ 3. The said corporation shall have power to hold real estate in
the city or county of Norfolk, or both, not exceeding in all twenty
acres, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon suitable
and necessary buildings for such an institution; and it shall also
have power to take donations and bequests of personal property and
gifts or devises of real estate, to any amount, in the city of Norfolk,
the county of Norfolk, or elsewhere in the state of Virginia, or in other
states, to hold the same for the purposes and uses of the society, and to
convey the same when its board of trustees shall see fit, by deed or
deeds signed by the president, in the corporate name and bearing the
corporate seal. -
2. This act shall bein force from its passage.
