Chap. 332.—An ACT to authorize the superintendent of the Virginia peniten-
tiary to enlarge the prison enclosure and erect a building on the stable lot.
Approved February 22, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
superintendent of the Virginia penitentiary, with the approval of the
board of directors, be, and he: is hereby, authorized to enlarge the
prison enclosure by the construction of a new wall on the north side

2, Algo, to erect on the stable Jot a suitable building for the storage
and protection of the wagons, carts and implements belonging to the
institution.
3. The cost of the above to be paid out of the net earnings of the
penitentiary by warrants on the treasury, drawn as prescribed in
section forty-one hundred and sixty-four of the code of eighteen
hundred and eighty-seven. Cost of same not to exceed the sum of
seven thousand dollars.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
