Chap. 324.—An ACT for the protection of game in the counties of Smyth and
Washington.
Approved February 21, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
not be lawful for any person to kill or capture pheasants or part-
ridges in the counties of Smyth and Washington for a period of two
years from the passage of this act.
2. It shall not be lawful to kill or capture wild turkeys in said
counties between the fifteenth day of March and the first day of No-
vember of each year.
‘3. It shall not be lawful at any time to take or destroy the eggs of
partridges or quails, pheasants or ruffled grouse or wild turkeys.
4. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be guilty
of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thereof before any court or
justice of the peace, shall be fined twenty dollars and imprisoned in
jail until said fine is paid, but not exceeding thirty days.
5. In so far as existing acts or parts of acts are in conflict with
the provisions of this act they are hereby repealed.
6. This act shall be in force from its passage.
