Chap. 295.—An ACT to prohibit hogs, sheep and goats from running at large
upon the public roads or unenclosed lands in the county of Augusta.
Approved February 19, 1894.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
nlawful for any hog or hogs, sheep or goats to run at large upon the
ablic roads or unenclosed lands within the districts of South
iver, Riverhead, Middle River and Barsley Manor, in the county of
ugusta, and the owner of any such animals running at large as
nove mentioned, whether they wander from the premises of the
vner in Augusta, or any other county, may be fined not less than
1e dollar nor more than five dollars for each offence, recoverable be-

2. The board of supervisors of Augusta county, may, in its discre-
on, make this act applicable to any or all other districts in Augusta
unty, by resolutions spread upon its minutes, and by posting the
me at the court-house door and two public places in each district

3. This act shall be in force from and after the first day of May,
