Chap. 264.—An ACT to give J. P. Gilliam, treasurer of Chesterfield county,
power of levy and distress to collect certain uncollected tax-tickets in his
hands.

Whereas J. P. Gilliam, treasurer of Chesterfield county, state of
Virginia, has in his hands various tax-tickets for which he has ac-
counted to the state and county: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
said J. P. Gilliam shall have the same power of levy and distress as
is now possessed by treasurers under the revenue laws, for one vear
from the passage of this act, to collect the uncollected tax-tickets
now in his hands for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-eight,
eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, eighteen hundred and ninety,
eighteen hundred and ninety-one and eighteen hundred and ninety-
two, and for which he has accounted to the proper authorities.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
