Chap. 262.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Wise county to
increase the salary of the judge of said county.

Approved February 15, 1894.

Whereas three of the four supervisors of the county of Wise have
petitioned the legislature to pass an act authorizing said board to
increase the salary of the judge of said county to the sum of six
hundred dollars per annum, and it is understood that the fourth
member of said board is in favor of such increase, but has not
signed such petition on account of its not having been presented to
him: therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
board of supervisors of Wise county be, and they are hereby, author-
ized and empowered to increase the salary of the judge of the count
court of said county, so that the salary of said judge shall not h
more than six hundred dollars per annum, which said increase
salary shall be paid out of the county levy as provided by law.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
