Chap. 215.—An ACT providing for the sale of lands returned delinquent for
the years 1859 and 1890, by A. J. Farish, late treasurer of Albemarle county.

Whereas A. J. Farish, late treasurer of Albemarle county, departed
this life without having sold the lands returned delinquent by him
In the said county for the years eighteen hundred and eighty-nine
and eighteen hundred and ninety, during which he was treasurer, as
aforesaid: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That J.
R. Wingfield, the present treasurer of eaid county, be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to sel] the said lands for the taxes,
interest and costs as to which they were returned delinquent for the
years eighteen hundred and eighty-nine and eighteen hundred and
ninety, as aforesaid, which sale the said Wingfield shall make on the
first day of the June term, eighteen hundred and ninety-four, of the
county court of said county, or as soon thereafter as practicable, and
the same may be adjourned over from time to time by bim; and such
sale shall be in all other respects made after the advertisement and
in the manner and at the place prescribed by law for the sale of
lands returned delinquent for the non-payment of taxes, and shall
in all other respects be in conformity with and be governed by the
general laws of the state with respect to the sale, purchase, redemp-
tion and conveyance of lands returned delinquent for taxes.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
