Chap. 178.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to amend
and re-enact section 12 of the act approved February 7, 1890, entitled an act
to incorporate the Chesapeake, Fredericksburg and Western railroad com-
pany, approved January 26, 1892.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
twelve of an act approved February seventh, eighteen hundred and
ninety, entitled an act to incorporate the Chesapeake, Fredericks.
burg and Western railroad company, as amended and re-enacted by
an act approved January twenty-sixth, eighteen hundred and ninety-
two, be, and the same is hereby, amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows:
$12. The said company, or its successors, shall begin the con-
struction of its railroad within two years from February seventh.
eighteen hundred and ninety-four, and shall complete its main line
within seven years from said date; and said company is authorized
to begin the work of construction at any point it may elect on its
main line, and to use either steam or electricity, or both, as the mo-
tive power of its railroad.
2. This act shall be in force-from its passage; but the general as-
sembly of the state of Virginia reserves the right to modify, alter
or repeal this act at any time hereafter.
