Chap. 171.—An ACT to extend the time of J. C. Counts, late treasurer of Dick-
enson county, to collect certain taxes and levies for the year 1890.

Whereas J. C. Counts, late treasurer of Dickenson county, Vir.
ginia, has in his hands various uncollected tax-tickets for taxes and
levies, state and county, for the year eighteen hundred and ninety
none of which have been returned delinquent, and said Counts, late
treasurer, has accounted for said taxes and levies: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That au.
thority is hereby given J. C. Counts, late treasurer of said county o!
Dickenson, to collect the taxes and levies for the year eighteen hun
dred and ninety which have not been returned delinquent and insol
vent, and for which he has accounted; and to that end the said late
treasurer shall have the power of levy and distress given treasurer:
by existing laws: provided that such power shall not continue longe:
than one year from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
