Chap. 104.—An ACT for the relief of John C. Hall, treasurer of the county of
Franklin.
Approved January 30, 184.
Whereas John C. Hall, treasurer of Franklin county, caused a copy
of the list of delinquent real estate in the county of Franklin for the
year eighteen hundred and ninety-two to be published in the “ Frank-
lin Times,” a newspaper published in said county, pursuant to sec-
tion six hundred and thirty-seven of the code of Virginia; and
Whereas the state’s part of the cost of this insertion amounted to
twenty-one dollars for said year; and
Whereas the auditor has paid to the said treasurer on behalf of
the state on account of the cost of said printing the sum of five dol-
lars for said year, and declines to pay the balance of said cost on the
ground that there is no authority in law for him to do so; and
Whereas this leaves a sum of sixteen dollars which the said treas-
urer had to pay before he could get the publication of the said list
in the said newspaper: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
auditor of public accounts be, and he hereby is, directed to issue his
warrant in favor of John C. Hall, treasurer of Franklin county, for
the sum of sixteen dollars.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
