Chap. 88.—An ACT authorizing the council of the city of Lynch-
burg for and in behalf of said city. to appropriate money to
improve bridges and nichts outside of the city limits jead-
ing to and from the said city.
Approved January 26, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That in addition to the powers heretofore granted to the
council of the city of Lynchburg, the said council shall
have power to appropriate money for the purpose of 1m-
proving highwaye and bridges located outside of the said
city, but leading into the said city: provided the said
appropriation shall not for any one purpose exceed the
sum of two thousand dollars, and shall not be expended
for work to be done at a greater distance than one mile
from the corporate limits of the said city.
2. And provided further, that no such appropriation
shall be made except by an affirmative vote of two-thirds
of all of the members of the council elected.
3. This act shall take effect from its passage
