CHAP. 736.—An ACT establishing a special school district in
Scott county, Virginia.
Approved March 4, 1892,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of ‘Virginia,
That there is declared a separate sub-school district from
the districts of DeKalb and Johnson, in the county of
Scott, designated by the following lines and boundaries:
Beginning at H. W. Daugherty’s residence and including
said residence, on the old ridge road, and running with
said road southwest to a point opposite James D. Vermil-
ion’s; thence south to Copper creek ; thence up said creek
to the mouth of Valley creek, and up the latter creek to
the mouth of William Elam’s branch; thence north to
the main ridge road, heretofore named, and with the same
to the beginning.
2. That when the trustees of Mount Pleasant school-
house, in said boundary, delivers a good title to said
house and grounds to the public school board of DeKalb
district, Scott county, Virginia, the same shall be accepted
by said board of trustees of DeKalb district as the place
of public instruction for said school district.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
