CHAP. 732.—An ACT to authorize and direct the auditor of pub-
lic accounts to pay N. J. Horn the sum of twenty dollars for
expenses paid for conveying a prisoner from the state of Ohio
to the jail of Wise county.

Whereas one Elias Collier was indicted in the county
court of Wise county for the murder of one Brack Felts;
and whereas the governor of the commonwealth of Vir-
ginia offered a reward for the capture and delivery to the
jailer of Wise county the said Collier; and whereas a man
was captured in the state of Ohio, who was thought to be
the said Elias Collier, and the governor of this common-
wealth, on the twenty-fourth of June, eighteen hundred
and eighty-nine, issued his requisition on the governor of
Ohio for said Elias Collier, and designated N. J. Horn by
his warrant to bring said Collier; and whereas the said
Horn did bring the man who was held by the authorities
of the state of Ohio, and thought to be the said Collier, to
to the jailer of Wise county; and whereas the expense
paid by said Horn for transportation and board of said
man amounted to the sum of twenty dollars—
1. Be it therefore enacted by the general assembly of
Virginia, That the auditor of public accounts be author-
ized and directed to issue his warrant in favor of N. J.
Horn, for the sum of twenty dollars, on the treasurer of
this commonwealth, for the services set forth in this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
