CHAP. 674.—An ACT to protect partridges and quail in King
George and Stafford, Westmoreland, Spotsylvania, Caroline
and Northumberland counties.
Approved March 8, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it shall be unlawful to kill, or capture, or offer for
sale, or buy any partridges or quails in King George
and Stafford, Westmoreland, Spotsylvania, Caroline and
Northumberland counties between the first day of Febru-
ary and the first day of November of any year, or at any
time to take or destroy the eggs of partridges or quails, or
catch them with nets or traps.
2. Any person violating any of the provisions of the
preceding section ehall incur the same penalties which
are prescribed by the general laws of this commonwealth
relating to unlawful hunting, for the unlawful killing or
capturing or offering for sale or buying any partridges or
quail, or taking or destroying their eggs or catching them
with nets or traps; and the rules of evidence shall be the
same. But nothing herein shall be construed as repealing,
altering or amending any of the provisions of the general
laws of this commonwealth relating to unlawful hunting
which are not inconsistent with this act.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
