Chap. 631.—An ACT for the protection of the riparian rights and
rights of fishery of owners of land on the Elizabeth river.
Approved March 8, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That neither chapter ninety-seven of the code of Vir-
ginia, nor any act passed hitherto in amendment thereof
shall be so construed as to abridge or destroy any of the ri-
parian rights or rights of fishery of the owners of land
on the eastern side of the Elizabeth river south of Sew-
ell’s Point, or on the western side of said Elizabeth river
south of Pinner’s Point, which were possessed by the
owners of such land on the first day of February, eigh-
teen hundred and ninety-two.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
