Chap. 592.—An ACT to give H. C.J oyner, treasurer of Amherst
county, and his deputies power of levy and distress to collect
certain uncollected tax tickets now in his hands.

‘Whereas H. C. Joyner, treasurer of Amherst county, has
in his hands various tax tickets for which he has accounted
to the state and county; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the said H.C. Joyner, treasurer aforesaid, and his dep-
uties, shall have the same power of levy and distress as is
now possessed by treasurers under the revenue laws, until
one year after the passage of this act, to collect the uncol-
lected tax tickets now in his hands for the years eighteen
hundred and eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and eighty-
eight, eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, and eighteen
hundred and ninety.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
