CHAP. 546.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of
Bedford county to levy a tax on dogs.

Approved March 1, 1892.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of Bedford county be, and
they are hereby, authorized to levy a tax on dogs in said
county, said tax not to exceed one dollar on each male and
two dollars on each female dog over six months old; that
said board of supervisors is authorized to devote the pro-
ceeds of said tax to the payment of claims for sheep killed
by dogs, and toturn over any surplus after the payment of
said claims to the school fund of the county.

2. All acts or parts of acts in conflict with this act are
hereby repealed.

3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
