CHAP. 524.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of
Floyd county to levy a tax to complete the Floyd and Bent
mountain turnpike in said county.
Approved March 1, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the board of supervisors of Floyd county be, and
the same is hereby, authorized and empowered, in their
discretion, to levy a tax for the purpose of grading and
completing so much of the Floyd and Bent mountain
turnpike in said county as was not properly graded and
completed when said turnpike was built, or so much of
said turnpike as the board of supervisors may determine.
2. Said levy shall be made along with the county levy
and assessed upon the same property and collected in the
same way as the county levy, and shall be paid out on the
warrants of the board of supervisors.
3. The board of supervisors shall prescribe such plans
specifications, restrictions, and directions as they shal!
deem best for letting to contract the work of repairing
completing, and constructing said turnpike.
4, All proceedings to condemn lands necessary for the
purposes of this act shall be in conformity with chapte:
forty-three of the code.
5. This act shall be in force from its passage.
