Chap. 446.—An ACT to dedicate and convey all right and title of
the state in certain lots situated in Bedford City, Virginia, to
parties to whom same have been heretofore conveyed.
Approved February 29, 1892.
Whereas on the twenty-second day of January, eigh-
teen hundred and fifty, Joseph Wilson conveyed to Thomas
L. Leftwich and others, elders in the Presbyterian church
by deed recorded in the clerk’s office of Bedford county
court, certain lots of land numbered forty-seven, forty.
eight, forty-nine fronting on the north cross street, in the
town of Liberty, in the said county, and also a lot of
land adjoining the foregoing lots, containing one and
seven-tenths acres, to be held by the grantees for the use
of the church and religious congregation attached thereto
and their successors, according to the conditions anc
trusts mentioned in said deed of conveyance; anc
whereas the said grantees and their successors in office
have, according to the direction of the session of the
Presbyterian church, as mentioned in the said deed, solc
and conveyed the property mentioned in the said deed, tc
various parties, and a doubt having arisen as to whether
the trusts mentioned in the said deed are valid, and
whether the said property may not have reverted or be-
come vested in the state of Virginia; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That all right and title in or to the said property that
may have passed to or become vested in the state of Vir-
ginia, under the deed aforesaid, be, and the same is hereby,
released, and all right and title of this state in ‘or to any
of the above property, is hereby released to them.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
