Chap. 444. —An ACT for the protection of fish in Russell county.
Approved February 29, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That it shall be unlawful for any person to kill or injure
any fish by the use of dynamite or any other explosive or
poison thrown or placed in any of the waters of Russell
county.
2. It shall also ‘be unlawful for any person to purchase,
eat, or have in his possession any fish so injured or killed
in any of said waters.
3. Any person who shall violate any of the provisions of
section one of this act shall, upon conviction, be fined not
less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred
dollars; and any one who shall knowingly violate any of
the provisions of section two of this act shall, upon con-
viction, be fined not less than ten dollars nor than one
hundred dollars. All acts and parts of acts in conflict
with this act are hereby repealed.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
