Poindexter, and their survivors, and such others as they
may associate with them, be, and they are hereby, consti-
tuted a body politic and corporate under the name and
style of the Hanover troop association, C. V., and by that
name and style shall have perpetual succession, may sue
and be sued, contract and be contracted with, plead and
be impleaded, and may frame such constitution and by-
laws for the government of their association as may not
be inconsistent with the law.
2. The officers of the first year shall be C. A. Taylor,
president; T. W. Sydnor, first vice-president; T. F. Taylor,
second vice-president; W. A. Wingfield, third vice-presi.
dent; J. C. Cooke, secretary, and J. A. Brown, assistant
secretary.
3. The objects of such association are to preserve the
lristory of the Hanover troop of cavalry, to perpetuate
the memory of their fallen comrades, and to unite its
members for the purposes of friendly and social inter-
course.
4. It shall be lawful for such association to raise by in-
dividual subscriptions or contributions, such sums of
money aS may be necessary for its purposes, and to ac-
quire and hold a lot or parcel of land not to exceed fifty
acres in the county of Hanover, and improve the same
for the purposes of the asgociation.
5. This act shall be in force from its passage.
