Chap. 393.—An ACT to allow E. J. McCulloch, late treasurer of
Botetourt county, further time to make settlement and return
delinquents, and to collect tax tickets.
“ Approved February 25, 1892.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
that E. J. McCulloch, late treasurer of Botetourt county,
be allowed to the first day of July, eighteen hundred and
ninety-two, to make final settlement of his accounts with
the board of supervisors of Botetourt county, and to make
returns of insolvent and delinquent lists of taxes for
eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and
eighty-eight, eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, eighteen
hundred and ninety, and eighteen hundred and ninety-
one, from first of July, eighteen hundred and eighty-
seven, to July first, eighteen hundred and ninety-one; and
when said lists have been certified by the board of super-
visors and by the county court of Botetourt, as prescribed
by law, the said treasurer shall be allowed the proper credits
in his settlement with the supervisors and school boards of
his county, provided the sureties of said treasurer shall file
their assent in writing to the provisions of this section
with the clerk of the county court of Botetourt on or be-
fore the first day of April, eighteen hundred and ninety-
two.
2. The said McCulloch, late treasurer, is hereby author-
ized to collect by himself or by his deputies, in the manne)
prescribed by law, such tickets for state taxes and county
levies as yet remain in his hands which have not been re.
turned insolvent or delinquent uncollected for the yeart
eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, eighteen hundred and
eighty-eight, eighteen hundred and eighty-nine, eighteen
hundred and ninety, and eighteen hundred and ninety-
one: provided the same shall be collected by the first day
of July, eighteen hundred and ninety-two.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
