CHAP. 387.—An ACT to require the board of supervisors of the
counties of Amelia, Cumberland, Nottoway, Prince Edward,
Goochland, Chesterfield, and Powhatan to protect poultry.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia,
That the boards of supervisors of Amelia, Cumberland,
Nottoway, Prince Edward, Goochland, Chesterfield, and
Powhatan counties shall have the power, and it shall be
their duty, as soon as is practicable after the passage of this
act, to award a premium, not exceeding one dollar and
fifty cents, for each scalp of a red fox, seventy-five cents
for the scalp of each gray fox, and fifty cents for each
hawk, owl, mink, and weasel, upon satisfactory evidence
that the same were respectively killed within the limits of
the county and by the person in whose behalf the same
may be presented, to be paid on warrant of said board on
the county treasurer.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
